Good morning. In less than two weeks, I’ll turn 68 years old. I leave in my past many torrid and fantastic events. The few worst (self damaging) items are 53 years of daily tobacco use, 44 years of daily moderate to heavy alcohol consumption and bouts with stupidity mingled over the entire period. The “Up Side” is I am on the sunny side of the grass/grave.
.
I resolved to put many of those things behind me. Thankfully, I quit alcohol in 2012 (good decision on my part). Yesterday was my last day of tobacco (and also my 20th wedding anniversary). I am “in the throws” (as referred to withdrawal). But I will use the same Mantra that cured my alcohol habit: “I quit, I win!”
.
Aging for me is no more a problem than a tornado, earthquake or volcanic eruption. It will happen and how I deal with it is all that matters. There will be some damage but there doesn’t have to be total devastation.
.
All is well (just a bout with brain-fog) and the world will spin as easy as it always does. Focus on this Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly and let any worries flow from your mind.
